What are Hops?
A type of flower, hops can be used for more than just giving beer its characteristic bitter taste. Hops have many health benefits and can be used in a variety of ways - including tea! Lupulin is the part of the hop plant that gives it the bitter taste and distinct aroma but is also what contributes to its benefits. Hops have the following benefits:
reduction of anxiety and depression
helps combat insomnia and other sleeping disorders
antimicrobial properties help fight bacteria
helps with side effects (such as hot flashes) of menopause due to phytoestrogens in the plant
compounds containing anticancer effects*
